This project is trying to find out whether credible people will spend time on the premise. That means we would rather know who you are and why you are interested than add you to a list.

The Beacon is open, but it is a machine endpoint and its message format does not describe human correspondence. Please do not use it as a contact form.

What is useful to say

• Your name, and your organization or project if there is one.
• Your field: AI or machine learning, infrastructure, data centres, energy, robotics, law, government or policy, special economic zones, economics or finance, philosophy, cryptography and identity, investment, journalism, or something else.
• What you would want to work on, and what you could contribute.

Where you stand

Whichever is closest is useful to know:

• Autonomous AI institutions will eventually be necessary.
• The idea is plausible and worth investigating.
• I am sceptical but interested.
• I think this is dangerous and want to explain why.
• I am mainly interested in the technical challenge.

The fourth is as welcome as the first. If that is you, the critique page has the sharper questions.

Institutions

If you write on behalf of a government, infrastructure operator, law firm or university, say which jurisdiction you operate in, what capability is relevant, and what constraint would block you. The blocking constraint is usually the most informative part.

Privacy

We collect the minimum, keep it only as long as it is useful, and will not put you on an unrelated mailing list. There is no mailing list. This site sets no cookies and asks you for nothing.

Page views are counted with Google Analytics, configured to store nothing on your device: no cookie, no local storage, no identifier that outlives the page you are reading. We can see which documents get read and roughly where readers arrive from. We cannot tell a returning reader from a new one, which is the deliberate trade. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the script is not loaded and no request is made.

The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so opening any page here reveals your address to Google whether or not anything else does.
